HARRISONBURG, Va. — Here are two new sketches. The top one is Scarlett Johansson, drawn from the cover of this month’s Esquire. The second is a guy from Havana and based on a picture I found somewhere.
The sketches are done in pencil. I drew Scarlett in my apartment and I drew the guy from Havana at the Artful Dodger, a Harrisonburg bar with outdoor seating where I like to go and be creative while pretending I’m at a Paris cafe.
Monday used to be $2 draft day at the Dodger, but that was apparently canceled. When I went two Mondays ago — it was the visit I drew the Havanan — there was only $4 wine. Not that there is anything wrong with $4 wine.
